     At the beginning of July, 2000, Joyce Taylor created an art web site form. Joyce asked me what I had in mind and then proceeded with her first draft, producing many different patterned backgrounds; changing colours when I asked her to; increasing or reducing the graphics of my paintings; careful to avoid distortion. Her suggestions were invaluable to me, who knew nothing about the creation of a website. I feel I learned a lot from her while work was in progress. She was very patient and diligent when asked to make changes in story write-ups. I, personally, could have saved her some work there by not sending her “impulsive” drafts, but she never complained, and changed them for me.

It was very interesting to see the site take shape before my very eyes. What had once been a thought in my head was now being produced just like a movie. I am very happy with the end result, and most of all I still enjoy the instant contact I have with Joyce when it comes to making slight changes to improve the site. It is done within a day or two; sometimes immediately, depending on her workload. I'm sure you won't be disappointed while Joyce is running the show.

La Porte County Red Cross
     The American Red Cross is an agency based on volunteers and their many talents. The LaPorte County Red Cross has been blessed with the talents of Joyce Taylor and her staff at Taymade.com, Inc. When the internet started to emerge as a marketing tool and resource for information, the LaPorte Red Cross wanted to be a part of the new technology. However, no one on staff had the knowledge or time to devote to creating and updating a website. Joyce Taylor volunteered by offering to create such a site for the Chapter. Over the next three years, she has continued to update that site by adding course information, class and bloodmobile schedules, an on-line volunteer application form as well as disaster awareness links. The local chapter receives regular e-mail from the web site visitors, many want to know how they can access books, classes or their own local Red Cross for assistance. We have had inquiries from Israel and Spain and every region in the United States. Many of the questions are from students wanting to learn life-saving skills, swimming or just want to get involved in their communities.

The staff and Board of Directors is very pleased with the work done by Taymade.com, Inc. They are aware that this is one avenue of communication and marketing that would have been under utilized if not for the dedicated volunteerism of Joyce Taylor. She has created a website that is easy to navigate and filled with useful information and links to the our National website.
